For the second year running I have joined the Valentine's blog swap 'Send a Little Love', organised by lovely Tracy from madaboutbagsuk.blogspot. where each participant sends their named partner 5 items, including: something red, something heart shaped or heart themed, and something deliciously edible. I have completed my mission and sent said items to my named partner - Tracy from sunny-corner-farmblogspot. This sunny corner is in New South Wales, Australia. I hope to have a few blog swap pics soon ...but not just yet, as it is meant to be a surprise.
I've been quite excited to hear from and about Tracy in a couple of exchanged e-mails, all the way across the globe. One of the main differences for us both has been the weather. Whilst I've got fed up with rain and gloomy dark grey skies here, Tracy has been struggling over there, with the heat! and has been so pleased to have rain this week. I on the other hand have been so pleased to see it stop and welcomed a brief respite, and a sunny morning. This is the first day this year I have walked to the river since the floods. It is cold, squelchy under foot and very windy; the river is still fairly high, and its good to see swans, ducks and geese. Signs of spring with lambstails and pussy willow catkins along the bank.

I love the images from your walk Pat. I think it is the differences in our climates and surrounds that make your part of the world so interesting to me. I'm really looking forward to my UK trip in July.

Beautiful photo's. I love swans they are so regal and graceful. It always amazes me how different countries have different climates all at the same time even though there is only one sun and moon. I am longing for a bit of warmth and sunshine not that I want to wish the year away at all. dee x
