Let me introduce Huckleberry hare and Rosa rabbit. These are creatures of the meadow inspired by my summer walks down to the Lugg flats. I snapped them a while back before I went on holiday and always meant to share ... but as they are in no hurry I thought I would let them say 'Hi!' to you now. They are made of linen and pretty cotton fabric for the ears. Huckleberry's dungarees are made out of an old napkin which is edged with brown velvet ribbon that was on the inside collar of an old blouse and his T-shirt has been made out of that same blouse. As the weather was getting cooler when Rosa was finished, I knitted her a lovely pink jumper. Huckleberry still lives with me but Rosa now belongs to a dear little girl called Erin, along with the pink suitcase that Huckleberry is sitting on to shut tight. You will see from the next picture that Rosa has gone to a good home and is very much loved......

Hello Jesse. Thank you for you kind comment - The original hare/rabbit design were from Anne- Pia Godske Rasmussen's book 'Quilt and Sew Country Style', and also has some fabric and embroidery influences from Millie feuille BlogSpot (very beautiful blog) and Helen Phillips, with my own tweaks.Thank you again. I am a fan of your lovely blog. I love your patchwork quilting. Pat x
