At the start of May we had a visit from my eldest son his girfriend who live in Workington, Cumbria. They were lucky to have the warmest sunniest weather this year which we took advantage of by driving out to Symonds Yat in the Forest of Dean on the Herefordshire, Gloucestershire borders. A natural beauty spot where volunteers from the RSPB have telescopes out to view nesting peregrine falcons on the cliff sides. http://www.royalforestofdean.info/wye-valley/symonds-yat.shtml Just caught a glimpse of a little nuthatch through the dappled sunshine.
