. . . . is how T.S.Eliot described April. The weather has certainly been playing some cruel tricks after a few glorious sunny blue sky days. Sleet and hail here, and, I believe they're making snowmen in parts of Yorkshire! aI feel for people going there this bank holiday weekend for the start of the Tour de France. And then I'm reminded me of Prince's sad song 'Sometimes it snows in April'. . . . and think of the the wonderful radio tribute programmes to Prince, and also the brilliantly talented Victoria Wood who both sadly died this month. April, Spring . . . a blink of the eye, an ever so fleeting flicker in my mind , 'how many more Springs will we see . . . they pass all too quickly '. . . . But I am warmed, I am grateful . . . Back indoors, warm and cosy I've been reading and posting comments on some lovely blogs and contemplating a little sewing. I seem to have been rewarded for enjoying Vivienne's wonderful blog at www.greenrabbitdesigns.co.uk. I am thrilled to be the lucky recipient of these gorgeous goodies (below) in a secret giveaway. Vivienne was celebrating being a blogger for SEVEN years. I urge you to go and look at her inspiring blog, its full of beautiful garden flowers and awesome knitted rabbits and friends that she sells each month from her Etsy shop, and much more. I will be jotting down ideas for makes and having a play with fabrics and buttons. Thank you Vivienne, and here's to the next seven years! x I did go for a relaxing circular 'good to be alive' walk with my friend Denise on what was probably the warmest day of the month a couple of weeks ago, from Peterstow, near Ross on Wye . ,We had our lunch break outside the church of St. Bridget at Bridstow. The verger let us pick wild flowers surrounding the gravestones, as he was about to cut the grass and flowers growing through the grass. Walking along the lanes, past the cow fields, on the public footpath, hearing birds sing, spotting daffodils, horses, an old plough, newly painted shepherds hut, cuckoo pints, white bluebells, a curious cat, some alpacas, marsh-marigolds and a field of pretty violas. I am so pleased and uplifted to be of this world. My precious wildflowers brought home . . . . .
